Webinar Series "Climate Change in the Courts".

Across the globe, climate change-related lawsuits are being filed against governments and corporate entities. A majority of these cases seek to hold governments accountable for failing to combat climate change. Increasingly, a new wave of cases against fossil fuel producers are claiming companies publicly denied climate science despite having known about the consequences of burning fossil fuels for decades.

Panelists will provide an overview of current climate litigation, including recent successes and lessons learned. They will further explore how change litigation can serve as an effective tool to influence policy change and prevent future human rights violations.
